RE: Things left on the highway
family vacation last year from tucson to san antonio. on the way home on I-10 about 100 miles east of el paso we found a 2000lb black bull in the middle of the west bound lanes. picture this: DW and kids all sleeping :Z me passing a tractor trailer. no vehicles in front of us for several miles. the truck driver and i both see the object in the distance, looks like a big black trap, and start to slow down. as we get closer we can see that its a large black bull. the bull is still alive but his back legs aint working and hes trying to drag himself over to the shoulder. the truck driver goes right over to the shoulder and i go left to the rumble strip. of course the rumble strip wakes up the family and they see the bull and everyone freaks out. :Ewe make it pass the bull with out an incident. as the family is looking out the back window at the bull i see a p/u truck and trailer on the shoulder about a 1/2 mile past the bull. there is one bull in the trailer but the trailer is big enough for 2 bulls. theres 2 old cowboys picking up the rear gate of the trailer and trying to put it back on.
this is a pretty boring drive through texas, nothing to see, must be whty the speed limit is 80mph. the rest of the way home it was non stop jokes about the bull...the kids came up with things like they were going to the slaughter house and the bull tried to escape. anyway those cowboys are probably still eating steaks .
RE: Beaudry RV
i checked out beaudry first due to thier large inventory. like others stated the three salesmen were not to great and they were over priced. you said you made an offer, but i sugest you go over to Freedom RV hter on the corner of irvington/alvernon just down the road. its more of a family run business and they have a good size inventory. i ended up buying a toy hauler there and a coworker bought a class c. the price was good and the customer service was good. havent had to deal with the repair department yet.:) just my my $0.02
RE: EXTREME RV
just traded in my 03 thor tahoe transport 20tb for a used (2x) 08 megalite 23'. the mega-dinette is what sold us and the price was right. havent had a chance to take it out yet, trying for memorial weekend. towed great on the way home empty with no w/d or sway bar. ours came with the convenience and sport package gen and fuel station. i checked out the WW 23' and the extreme had more features for less $.
